The Tlamelo project was established in 1998 in order to care for orphaned and destitue children in Old Naledi (the most economically depressed area of Gaborone). Most of the orphans in Old Naledi have no access to basic human needs such as food, clothing and shelter. Many of the children live with their grand parents or other members of their extended family. The Tlamelo project has been feeeding 180 children between 2-18 years, 5 days a week for the last 5 years.
7/12 we organized a Christmas party for the children. There were games, bouncy castles and face painting. We served cakes, snacks and drinks and Santa visited and brought little Christmas gifts.
